As such, around 96% of our class on average are residents of one of the five states that we support. We do accept applicants from outside the WWAMI region; however, it is far more competitive. Dr. Moeller grew up here in Montana. Alongside her Idaho WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho) Medical Education Program . Strategic Plan FY 2020-2024 . WWAMI is Idaho’s state funded medical school, and is under the leadership and institutional mission of the University of Idaho, in partnership with the University of Washington School of Medicine (UWSOM). In August 2015, we began a new UWSOM medical school curriculum at all six dentistry, optometry, occupational therapy, and podiatry. The WWAMI program is specific to the field of medicine, the Minnesota Dental program is a dental education program only, and the WIMU program is specific to veterinary medicine.

WWAMI is an acronym for the five states that participate in this program: Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. The UWSOM curriculum, content and testing is the same at all WWAMI sites

The goal of this conference is to gather Montana physicians affiliated with the Montana WWAMI program and offer faculty development topics pertinent to their role of teaching physicians, particularly as they relate to rural and underserved care.
